VITTA is pleased to present a number of special programs, events and activities to ensure you enjoy while you learn at the Conference.
Sun Microsystems Network Lounge
This year Sun Microsystems is sponsoring a network lounge for delegates to access the internet at any time during the day. The network lounge is located outside the Macintosh labs in Publishers Alley. This is a good opportunity for Birds of a Feather activities which delegates may wish to organise before the conference by contacting the VITTA office or at an adhoc basis if the space and time is available.
Early Years Conference

VITTA is pleased to present its inaugural Early Years Conference as part of its annual conference. This one day conference has been specifically designed for teachers and carers of the early years (0-8years) to assist in decision making about learning with technologies

Nintendo Room at the VITTA Conference
This year our international keynote Derek Robertson will be presenting and providing workshops to showcase how playing games using Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox, such as can be used for effective learning. Nintendo are providing delegates with a chance to play with these technologies in the Nintendo Room, available throughout the duration of the conference. Make sure you have go and fun.

VITTA is at a new venue and is pleased to announce that the VITTA dinner is back with entertainment and prize giveaways. The VITTA Outstanding Achievement Awards and ICT Achievers will also be announced. VITTA has organised two special dinner guests:
Rose Lappin CEO of Nintendo Australia
Rose will provide an interactive and fun session for delegates using the latest Nintendo products.
Frank McGuire Global Learning Village
Frank McGuire is the founder of Global Village Communities. He was the creative force and deal maker behind the building of the Hume Global Learning Village which is a public, private, community partnership that built the public library in Broadmeadows and maternal childcare centre Meadow Heights that use computers instead of poker-machines to connect the disconnected.
Premier John Brumby recently opened the Ideas Lab, part of the Hume Global Learning Centre and has aimed at testing technology around the world to determine best use for teaching and learning. The Ideas Lab is sponsored by Microsoft, Intel and Cisco.
Just from Hanoi at a conference for Asia and Pacific Government officials who are interested in the Ideas Lab and intend visiting to see how this could help other countries.
Frank has also twice awarded the most prestigious honour for journalism, the Walkey Award for investigative reporting for the ABC's 4 Corners program and last year's Nine network's Sunday program.
