2012 ICT Achievers Program

Are you interested in inspiring young people to start their futures in the excitng ICT industry and to make technology their career of choice?

The 2012 ICT Achievers Program
The ICT Achievers Program aims to reward excellence and delivers valuable hands-on experience to students whilst supervised by industry professionals. You will be involved in a total of fifteen working days with an organisation to be completed by December 31, 2012. Upon the successful completion of your placement, you will receive an honorarium to reward you for your work and dedication to ICT.

Your Mentor Organisation
During your 15-day work placement with your mentor organisation you will have the opportunity to draw upon the experience and knowledge of staff members. The 15 days must be negotiated with your mentor organisation between May and December 2012.

Requirements of ICT Achievers:
• Complete a full application
• Attend a screening process which will include an interview with a selection panel
• Attend work placement at a mentor organisation for 15 days
• Write a daily blog of your experiences with your mentor organisation
• Create a multimedia resource which will be used to assist other students to learn about careers in ICT
• Complete a 10-15 minute interactive multimedia presentation of your experience which will be collected as a VITTA resource
• Complete an evaluation following your placement
