The VITTA Outstanding Achievement Awards - 2012

There are four Outstanding Achievement Awards in 2012:

  • Outstanding Achievement by a Primary teacher ~ The recipients of the Outstanding Achievement by a Primary teacher acknowledges the contribution of this teacher to the education community in the primary sector over a number of years. This award in 2021 is in its fifth year. Nominations begin this year in May.

  • Outstanding Achievement by a Secondary teacher ~ The recipients of the Outstanding Achievement by a Secondary teacher acknowledges the contribution of this teacher to the education community in the secondary sector over a number of years. This award in 2012 is in its eleventh year and is a very coveted award. Nominations begin in October of each year.

  • ICT Teacher of the Year ~ Nominations for this award recognise the achievements of an educator from either primary or secondary sector.
  • ICT Leader of the Year ~ Nominations for this award recognised the achievements and contributions of a leader from education, government and industry.

The Purpose:


To provide an award to a Primary, Secondary VITTA member or ICT Leader from the Education, Industry or Government sector is to acknowledge their outstanding achievement in Information Communication Technology and their contribution to the teaching and learning community.

Expectations:
The recipient of the award:
- Will have demonstrated how they have made a contribution that is beneficial to the education community
- Has resulted in improved learning outcomes for students

The Process:
VITTA Members and the wider education community are required to submit a nomination to the VITTA Committee.

All proposals must:
- Be no more than two pages in length
- Contain details of the contribution
- Include the names and contact details of two referees.

NB. The Committee Of Management is the sole arbiter for the determination of the recipient of the Award. The decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. VITTA Committee members are ineligible to apply for this award.
