As educators, many challenges lay before us. Not only do we need to stay abreast of the changes that are occurring, but we need to prepare our students for their journey beyond our class-rooms.

Abstract submissions on relevant topics are welcomed via our web site. ICT educators from preschool, primary and secondary schools, tertiary institutions, sector authorities, business and industry are invited to participate in the following subject areas.

  • Integrating ICT with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards
  • Digital content and creation
  • ICT leadership
  • eLearning for teachers and students
  • VCE Information Technology curriculum and applications
  • VELS Interdisciplinary Learning Strand
  • VET in Information Technology
  • VCAL and ICT Industry based learning
  • ICT for early, middle and later years classrooms
  • Digital music education
  • Interactive Digital Media

The three-day conference program will provide attendees with a variety of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on computer sessions, incorporating best practice teaching and learning. Opportunities exist for presenters to effectively communicate and share their ideas and practices.

2009 will see the introduction of Pre-Conference workshops and a special Technical Conference designed for technicians in state, independent and catholic sector.

A complimentary one-day registration is available to presenters for the day of their presentation only. This entitlement is only offered to one presenter for each session. Presenters fees and expenses reimbursement are not available.

There is an expectation that presenter materials be made available to VITTA members and conference delegates as resources. This can be in the form of electronic document or a weblink which should be submitted by the first week of November on the VITTA resource portal.

Note: Sessions are pre-booked by delegates and attendances may vary from 30 to 400 people depending on demand.
